Saints Youth Centre

About the Saint's Youth Centre

Saints Youth Centre was established as voluntary youth provision for the Twinbrook area. The Centre was set-up in the early 1970s as there was a lack of youth provision in the area. The centre moved in the early 80s into it presents building. The Centre is much need resource within the Twinbrook area and is the longest running youth provision within Twinbrook. The Saints Youth Centre is a much need service. Young People from the surrounding area such as Lagmore, Poleglass, and Dunmurry also access the centre. The age range of the young people who attend the centre is from 5 years to 25 years old.

Through the programmes, activities and ethos of the centre, the leaders guide and support young people and act as mentors and role models in their personal, social and spiritual development. The programmes that the centre will provide will create opportunity for the young people to develop into mature and responsible adults who will play an activities role within their communities and wider society. The programmes the centre provide: Personal Development, Health Education, Sport, Information Technology, Citizenship Programmes, Art & Crafts, Dance & Drama, Environmental programmes, Community Relation and International Exchange etc. The centre also provides accredit training for the staff and volunteers. The centre is located in the ground of St Colm’s High School and has close links to school but also the local primary schools.
